North Carolina High School Basketball - Rabun Gap-Nacoochee tops Asheville Christian Academy
February 2, 2023: Swannanoa, NC 28778 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles (Rabun Gap, GA) and the host Asheville Christian Academy Lions (Swannanoa, NC), saw Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's basketball squad knock off Asheville Christian Academy by a count of 57-44.
With the victory, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee upgrades its record to 21-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Winston-Salem Christian (Winston-Salem, NC) to play the Lions in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 14-5. Winston-Salem Christian lost 73-67 in their recent league challenge against Oak Hill Academy - Red (Mouth of Wilson, VA)
Next up, the Lions play the Asheville School (Independent) Blues (Asheville, NC) in a NCISAA Carolinas challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Asheville Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-19 season record. The Blues come into the challenge with a 16-5 record after their 76-39 league win over Carolina Day (Asheville, NC).
