February 2, 2023: Madison, MN 56256 The Lac qui Parle Valley Eagles (Madison, MN) basketball nipped the visiting Benson (Benson, MN), 86-85 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Eagles (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Central Minnesota Christian (Prinsburg, MN). The Bluejays go into the A Section 3 test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Central Minnesota Christian got by MACCRAY (Clara City, MN), 87-44, in a league test.
The now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they host Montevideo for a non-league test on Friday, February 3. Benson will clash with a Thunderhawks squad coming off a 70-47 league win over Minnewaska Area (Glenwood, MN). The Thunderhawks record now stands at 7-8.
