Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Ponderosa Mustangs (Parker, CO) and the host Chaparral Wolverines (Parker, CO), saw Ponderosa's basketball squad hold off Chaparral by a tally of 64-61.

With the victory, Ponderosa improves its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Rock Canyon (Highlands Ranch, CO) to confront the Jaguars in a 6A/5A Continental challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 17-2. Rock Canyon lost 62-52 in their recent league challenge against Mountain Vista (Highlands Ranch, CO)

Next up, the Wolverines confront the ThunderRidge Grizzlies (Highlands Ranch, CO) in a 6A/5A Continental challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Chaparral will attempt to improve on its 9-11 season record. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a 13-7 record after their 82-40 league win over Castle View (Castle Rock, CO).
