Illinois High School Basketball - Richland County overwhelms Charleston

February 2, 2023: Olney, IL 62450

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Richland County Tigers (Olney, IL) and the visiting Charleston Trojans (Charleston, IL), saw Richland County's basketball squad wallop Charleston by a count of 66-18.

With the victory, Richland County upgrades its record to 13-15 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Centralia (Centralia, IL) to play the Orphans in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 6. The Orphans come into the challenge with a record of 4-19. Centralia lost 51-22 in their recent league challenge against Althoff Catholic (Belleville, IL)

Next up, the Trojans play the Decatur Eisenhower Panthers (Decatur, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 6. Charleston will attempt to upgrade on its 2-22 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 4-20 record after their 58-52 league loss to MacArthur (Decatur, IL).
