Iowa High School Basketball - Alburnett overwhelms North Cedar
February 2, 2024: Stanwood, IA 52337 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA) and the host North Cedar Knights (Stanwood, IA), saw Alburnett's basketball squad wallop North Cedar by a tally of 85-39.
With the victory, Alburnett improves its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA) to confront the Buccaneers in a Tri-Rivers challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a record of 6-13.
Next up, the Knights confront the Easton Valley (Preston, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 5. North Cedar will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The come into the challenge with a 2-18 record after their 74-41 non-league loss to Maquoketa Valley (Delhi, IA).
