Illinois High School Basketball - Carrier Mills-Stonefort knocked off by Shawnee
February 2, 2024: Wolf Lake, IL 62998 The Shawnee Redskins basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Carrier Mills-Stonefort Wildcats to 40 in the Redskins non-league triumph on Friday.
The Redskins now sport a 11-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cobden for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 6. Shawnee will meet a Appleknockers team coming off a 75-32 league loss to Meridian (Mounds, IL). The Appleknockers record now stands at 13-15.
The Wildcats (2-19) will now prepare for their contest against Pope County (Golconda, IL). The Pirates enter the Greater Egyptian contest with a 11-12 record. In their last contest, Pope County was outscored by Hardin County (Elizabethtown, IL), 58-57, in a league contest.
