Mississippi High School Basketball - Gautier can't hold off Gulfport
February 2, 2024: Gulfport, MS 39507 The Gulfport Admirals basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Gautier Gators to 35 in the Admirals non-league triumph on Friday.
The Admirals now sport a 7-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to D'Iberville for a 7A Region 4 contest on Monday, February 5. Gulfport will battle a Warriors team coming off a 43-42 non-league loss to Picayune (Picayune, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 9-18.
The Gators (9-16) will now prepare for their contest against Vancleave (Vancleave, MS). The Bulldogs enter the 5A Region 4 contest with a 2-21 record. In their last contest, Vancleave was nudged by St. Patrick (Biloxi, MS), 60-40, in a non-league contest.
