February 2, 2024: Wallington, NJ 07057 The Wallington Panthers (Wallington, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Hopatcong Chiefs (Hopatcong, NJ), 58-56 in Friday's non-league test.
The Panthers (5-14) will now prepare for their test against Becton (East Rutherford, NJ). The Wildcats go into the North Jersey - Division 5 test with a 9-10 record. In their last test, Becton got by Leonia (Leonia, NJ), 69-45, in a non-league test.
The Chiefs now own a 2-16 record. They play next when they travel to North Warren Regional for a Northwest Jersey - Colonial test on Tuesday, February 6. Hopatcong will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 63-56 league loss to Sussex County Tech (Sparta, NJ). The Patriots record now stands at 12-7.
