Massachusetts High School Basketball - Masconomet Regional overwhelms Winthrop
February 2, 2024: Winthrop, MA 02152 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Masconomet Regional Chieftains (Boxford, MA) and the host Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA), saw Masconomet Regional's basketball squad wallop Winthrop by a count of 65-43.
With the victory, Masconomet Regional upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Chieftains host Salem (Salem, MA) to play the Witches in a Northeastern - Large challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Witches come into the challenge with a record of 5-2.
Next up, the Vikings play the Danvers Falcons (Danvers, MA) in a Northeastern - Small challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Winthrop will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record.
