Iowa High School Basketball - Hinton overwhelms West Sioux
February 2, 2024: Hawarden, IA 51023 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hinton Blackhawks (Hinton, IA) and the host West Sioux Falcons (Hawarden, IA), saw Hinton's basketball squad wallop West Sioux by a tally of 62-10.
With the victory, Hinton improves its record to 18-3 on the campaign. The Blackhawks travel to Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA) to confront the Westerners in a War Eagle challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Westerners come into the challenge with a record of 12-5. Akron-Westfield lost 77-35 in their recent league challenge against St. Mary's (Remsen, IA)
Next up, the Falcons confront the South O'Brien Wolverines (Paullina, IA) in a War Eagle challenge, on Monday, February 5. West Sioux will attempt to improve on its 1-18 season record. The Wolverines come into the contest with a 4-15 record after their 60-24 non-league loss to Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA).
