February 2, 2024: Pine Grove, PA 17963 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Pine Grove Cardinals (Pine Grove, PA) and the visiting Whitehall Zephyrs (Whitehall, PA), saw Pine Grove's basketball squad hold off Whitehall by a tally of 48-41.
With the victory, Pine Grove improves its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Jim Thorpe (Jim Thorpe, PA) to confront the Olympians in a Schuylkill County 1 battle on Monday, February 5. The Olympians come into the battle with a record of 0-18.
The Zephyrs (6-15) will now prepare for their battle against Emmaus (Emmaus, PA). The Hornets come into the Lehigh Valley battle with a 12-9 record. In their last battle, Emmaus was nudged by Parkland (Allentown, PA), 50-42, in a league battle.
