February 2, 2025: Pittsburgh, PA 15237 Avonworth Antelopes (Pittsburgh, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Sunday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Aliquippa Quips (Aliquippa, PA), 42-32 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Avonworth upgrades its record to 10-6 on the year. The Antelopes host Steel Valley (Munhall, PA) to face the Ironmen in a WPIAL 3A 2 match on Thursday, February 6. The Ironmen enter the match with a record of 1-16. Steel Valley lost 59-17 in their recent league match against Greensburg Central Catholic (Greensburg, PA)
The Quips now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Freedom Area for a WPIAL 2A 1 match on Monday, February 3.
