In their next game, the Cowboys meet the Fayetteville Lions (Fayetteville, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 23. McMullen County will attempt to move on its 27-8 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 28-5 record after their 71-37 non-league win over Nordheim (Nordheim, TX).
