Mendota Aztecs (Mendota, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA), 58-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mendota upgrades its record to 23-8 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to Coalinga (Coalinga, CA) to play the Horned Toads in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 24. The Horned Toads come into the bout with a record of 25-5. Coalinga won 70-42 in their recent non-league bout against Rosamond (Rosamond, CA)
