In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Galax Maroon Tide basketball team scored a tight 44-42 triumph over the Narrows Green Waves.

In their next game, the Maroon Tide meet the George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, February 22. Galax will attempt to move on its 16-9 season record. The Maroons enter the match with a 21-2 record after their 52-19 non-league win over Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA).

With the defeat, Narrows moves to 11-13 on the year.
