Georgia High School Soccer - Athens Academy nudges Oglethorpe County
February 20, 2024: Lexington, GA 30648 Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans confront the Pinecrest Academy Paladins (Cumming, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 23. Athens Academy will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Paladins enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Holy Spirit Prep (Atlanta, GA).
The Patriots now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Hart County for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 23. Oglethorpe County will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Washington-Wilkes (Washington, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-0.
