Alabama High School Soccer - Calera knocks off Stanhope Elmore
February 20, 2024: Calera, AL 35040 Calera Eagles (Calera, AL) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Stanhope Elmore Mustangs (Millbrook, AL), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Eagles confront the Chilton County Tigers (Clanton, AL) in a 6A Area 6 challenge, on Thursday, February 22. Calera will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 7-2 non-league win over Huffman (Birmingham, AL).
The Mustangs now have a 0-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wetumpka for a 6A Area 5 challenge on Thursday, February 22. Stanhope Elmore will confront a Indians team coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Prattville (Prattville, AL). The Indians record now stands at 2-4.
