February 20, 2025: Aniak, AK 99557 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Aniak Halfbreeds (Aniak, AK) and the visiting Kalskag Grizzly Bears (Upper Kalskag, AK), observed Aniak's basketball team crush Kalskag by a tally of 82-7.
The Halfbreeds now possess a 12-2 record. They play next when they host Akiachak for a 1A Greater Kuskokwim bout on Friday, February 21. Aniak will play a Huskies team coming off a 65-59 non-league loss to Scammon Bay (Scammon Bay, AK). The Huskies record now stands at 11-4.
With the loss, Kalskag falls to 0-5 on the campaign.
