Kentucky High School Basketball - Spencer County nips Bardstown
February 20, 2025: Bardstown, KY 40004 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Spencer County Bears (Taylorsville, KY) and the host Bardstown Tigers (Bardstown, KY), observed Spencer County's basketball team edge Bardstown by a score of 60-56.
The Bears (18-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Woodford County (Versailles, KY). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league challenge with a 13-11 record. In their last challenge, Woodford County edged Shelby County (Shelbyville, KY), 73-46, in a league bout.
With the loss, Bardstown falls to 14-8 on the campaign. The Tigers host Boyle County (Danville, KY) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Friday, February 21. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 13-9. Boyle County lost 60-48 in their recent non-league bout against Taylor County (Campbellsville, KY)
