February 20, 2025: Gonzales, LA 70737 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA) and the visiting Northwood Falcons (Shreveport, LA), observed East Ascension's basketball team knock off Northwood by a score of 54-40.
The Spartans (13-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA). The Chiefs come into the non-league challenge with a 28-4 record. In their last challenge, Natchitoches Central prevailed over New Iberia (New Iberia, LA), 59-43, in a non-league challenge.
