California High School Baseball - Mater Dei defeats Esperanza
February 20, 2025: Anaheim, CA 92807 The Mater Dei Monarchs baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Esperanza Aztecs to 0 in the Monarchs non-league win on Thursday.
The Monarchs now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host La Mirada for a non-league test on Saturday, February 22. Mater Dei will play a Matadores team coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Kennedy (La Palma, CA). The Matadores record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Esperanza drops to 0-1 on the year. The Aztecs travel to Woodbridge (Irvine, CA) to play the Warriors in a non-league test on Saturday, February 22. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 1-0. Woodbridge won 6-5 in their recent non-league test against Tustin (Tustin, CA)
