The Hernando Leopards softball team scored 14 runs and held the host Weeki Wachee Hornets to 4 in the Leopards league victory on Friday.

Next, the Leopards meet the Springstead Eagles (Spring Hill, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 24. Hernando will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, FL).

The Hornets (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Seven Rivers Christian (Lecanto, FL). The Warriors go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Seven Rivers Christian toppled Ocala Christian (Ocala, FL), 19-7, in a non-league outing.
