In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Walker Wildcats softball team scored a nice 10-0 victory over the Mt. Carmel Cubs.

The Wildcats (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS). The Cougars go into the non-league match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Northwest Rankin topped West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS), 4-2, in a non-league game.

The Cubs now hold a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Assumption for a non-league game on Saturday, February 21. Mt. Carmel will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to East Ascension (Gonzales, LA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-3.
