Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC) and the visiting Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), saw New Bern's basketball squad hold off Pinecrest by a tally of 70-66.

With the victory, New Bern improves its record to 16-10 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Lumberton (Lumberton, NC) to confront the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 23. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 23-5. Lumberton won 62-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Clayton (Clayton, NC)
