The Verona Hillbillies topped the visiting Bernards Mountaineers basketball team by a final score of 42-34 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Hillbillies face the Rutherford Bulldogs (Rutherford, NJ) in a non-league game, on Monday, February 26. Verona will attempt to move on its 18-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 19-5 record after their 48-13 non-league win over Arts (Newark, NJ).

With the defeat, Bernards moves to 15-14 on the year.
