In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Mahwah Thunderbirds basketball team scored a decisive 48-18 triumph over the Newton Braves.

In their next game, the Thunderbirds meet the West Milford Highlanders (West Milford, NJ) in a non-league match, on Monday, February 26. Mahwah will attempt to move on its 19-6 season record. The Highlanders enter the match with a 14-10 record after their 66-38 non-league win over Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, NJ).
