The Valley Catholic Valiants (Beaverton, OR) basketball nipped the visiting Taft Tigers (Lincoln City, OR), 40-35 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Valiants (15-6) will now prepare for their test against Sutherlin (Sutherlin, OR). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 23-2 record. In their last test, Sutherlin got by Cascade Christian (Medford, OR), 53-50, in a league test.
