Texas High School Baseball - Mildred nips Blooming Grove
February 21, 2025: Corsicana, TX 75109 The Mildred Eagles baseball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Blooming Grove Lions to 2 in the Eagles non-league win on Friday.
The Eagles now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eustace for a non-league test on Saturday, February 22. Mildred will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 13-2 non-league win over Rice (Rice, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Blooming Grove drops to 0-1 on the year. The Lions host Ferris (Ferris, TX) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league test on Thursday, February 27. The Yellowjackets enter the battle with a record of 0-2. Ferris lost 6-0 in their recent non-league battle against Terrell (Terrell, TX)
