Kansas High School Basketball - Hutchinson sneaks past Newton
February 21, 2025: Hutchinson, KS 67501 The Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS) basketball edged the visiting Newton Railroaders (Newton, KS), 58-51 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Salthawks now possess a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Maize for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I bout on Tuesday, February 25. Hutchinson will play a Eagles team coming off a 79-52 league win over Haysville Campus (Wichita, KS). The Eagles record now stands at 13-5.
With the loss, Newton falls to 9-8 on the campaign. The Railroaders travel to Salina Central (Salina, KS) to play the Mustangs in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail II bout on Tuesday, February 25. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 8-10. Salina Central won 59-54 in their recent league bout against Goddard (Goddard, KS)
