Kansas High School Basketball - Hutchinson routs Newton
February 21, 2025: Newton, KS 67114 In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Hutchinson Salthawks basketball team scored a big 68-16 triumph over the Newton Railroaders.
The Salthawks (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Maize (Maize, KS). The Eagles go into the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Maize smashed Haysville Campus (Wichita, KS), 47-43, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Railroaders battle the Salina Central Mustangs (Salina, KS) in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail II contest, on Tuesday, February 25. Newton will attempt to better on its 0-17 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 7-10 record after their 44-37 league win over Goddard (Goddard, KS).
