Mount Vernon Tigers (Mount Vernon, TX) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Fruitvale Bobcats (Fruitvale, TX), 7-4 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Mount Vernon improves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Tigers travel to Edgewood (Edgewood, TX) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Monday, February 23. The Bulldogs come into the match with a record of 3-0. Edgewood won 7-3 in their recent non-league match against Leonard (Leonard, TX)
