Texas High School Softball - Porter bounces Valley View
February 22, 2022: Pharr, TX 78577 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX) and the host Valley View Tigers (Pharr, TX), saw Porter's softball squad achieve victory over Valley View by a count of 19-1.
The Cowboys now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Veterans Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 32 match on Tuesday, March 1. Porter will face a Chargers squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 9-2.
With the loss, Valley View falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Grulla (Rio Grande City, TX) to face the Gators in a 4A Region IV District 32 match on Saturday, February 26. The Gators enter the match with a record of 0-2. Grulla lost 10-5 in their recent non-league match against Economedes (Edinburg, TX)
