Palmview Lobos (La Joya, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Palmview upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Lobos travel to Holmes (San Antonio, TX) to battle the Huskies in a non-league test on Friday, February 23. The Huskies come into the test with a record of 0-3. Holmes lost 4-0 in their recent non-league test against Sharyland (Mission, TX)

With the defeat, Veterans Memorial falls to 1-2 on the season. The Chargers travel to Weslaco (Weslaco, TX) to battle the Panthers in a non-league test on Thursday, February 22. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 1-0. Weslaco won 11-1 in their recent non-league test against Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX)
