February 22, 2025: Athens, GA 30606 The Athens Academy Spartans baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting St. Francis Knights to 0 in the Spartans non-league win on Saturday.
The Spartans now hold a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Clarke Central for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 25. Athens Academy will play a Gladiators team coming off a 15-4 non-league win over Commerce (Commerce, GA). The Gladiators record now stands at 3-2.
With the defeat, St. Francis drops to 0-4 on the year. The Knights travel to Rome (Rome, GA) to play the Wolves in a non-league test on Monday, February 24. The Wolves go into the test with a record of 1-3. Rome won 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Mt. Bethel Christian Academy (Marietta, GA)
