The French Settlement Lions (French Settlement, LA) baseball trounced the visiting Springfield Bulldogs (Springfield, LA), 9-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Denham Springs for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 25. French Settlement will clash with a Yellowjackets team coming off a 13-0 non-league win over A.J. Ellender (Houma, LA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 8-2.

With the defeat, Springfield drops to 4-5 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Holden (Holden, LA) to clash with the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 25. The Rockets go into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Holden won 18-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Independence (Independence, LA)
