South Dakota High School Basketball - McLaughlin holds off North Central
February 22, 2025: McLaughlin, SD 57642 The McLaughlin Mustangs basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting North Central Thunder to 50 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Mustangs now have a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Wakpala for a non-league game on Wednesday, February 26. McLaughlin will confront a Sioux team coming off a 62-57 league loss to North Central (Eureka, SD). The Sioux record now stands at 11-8.
With the loss, North Central falls to 9-14 on the campaign. The Thunder host Wakpala (Wakpala, SD) to confront the Sioux in a B Region 6 game on Monday, February 24. The Sioux go into the game with a record of 11-7. Wakpala won 72-67 in their recent non-league game against Faith (Faith, SD)
