In Thursday's non-league outing, the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) basketball squad edged the host Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), by a margin of 57-56.

The Trojans (14-11) will now prepare for their outing against West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC). The Lions go into the non-league outing with a 13-13 record. In their last outing, West Charlotte held off Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC), 80-54, in a non-league outing.

The Patriots now own a 20-6 record.
