In Thursday's non-league match, the host Fairmont Golden Tornadoes basketball team scored a decisive 60-19 triumph over the South Lenoir Blue Devils.

In their next game, the Golden Tornadoes meet the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 25. Fairmont will attempt to move on its 24-4 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 26-1 record after their 72-60 non-league win over East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC).

With the defeat, South Lenoir moves to 14-11 on the year.
