Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Taft Raiders (San Antonio, TX) and the visiting McAllen Bulldogs (McAllen, TX), witnessed Taft's softball squad tip McAllen by a count of 4-1.

The Raiders now sport a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lee for a non-league match on Friday, February 24. Taft will meet a Volunteers squad coming off a 7-3 non-league win over McCollum (San Antonio, TX). The Volunteers record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, McAllen moves to 6-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX) to meet the Raiders in a 5A Region IV District 31 match on Tuesday, February 28. The Raiders go into the match with a record of 2-2.
