Yates Lions (Houston, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Connally Cadets (Waco, TX), 81-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Yates upgrades its record to 19-10 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Washington (Houston, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Monday, February 26. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 25-4. Washington won 82-51 in their recent non-league bout against Jarrell (Jarrell, TX)
