February 23, 2024: Hazard, KY 41701 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Perry County Central Commodores (Hazard, KY) and the visiting Cordia Lions (Hazard, KY), saw Perry County Central's basketball squad wallop Cordia by a tally of 73-27.
With the victory, Perry County Central improves its record to 19-12 on the campaign. The Commodores host Leslie County (Hyden, KY) to confront the Eagles in a District 54 challenge on Tuesday, February 27. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 15-14. Leslie County won 71-60 in their recent non-league challenge against Lee County (Beattyville, KY)
Next up, the Lions confront the Knox Central Panthers (Barbourville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 23. Cordia will attempt to improve on its 6-27 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 18-10 record after their 109-89 non-league loss to Harlan County (Harlan, KY).
