Ohio High School Basketball - Malvern fells River
February 23, 2024: Hannibal, OH 43931 Malvern Hornets (Malvern, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host River Pilots (Hannibal, OH), 67-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Malvern upgrades its record to 22-0 on the season. The Hornets host Ridgewood (West Lafayette, OH) to play the Generals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 27. The Generals go into the bout with a record of 5-17. Ridgewood won 54-44 in their recent non-league bout against Tuscarawas Central Catholic (New Philadelphia, OH)
Next up, the Pilots play the Toronto Red Knights (Toronto, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 27. River will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record. The Red Knights go into the bout with a 17-5 record after their 46-28 league win over Frontier (New Matamoras, OH).
