February 23, 2024: Atlanta, GA 30305 Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Atlanta International Eagles (Atlanta, GA), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Greyhounds confront the Sprayberry Yellow Jackets (Marietta, GA) in a 6A Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, February 27. Pope will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Kell (Marietta, GA).
The Eagles now have a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mount Vernon for a 1A D-I Region 6 challenge on Monday, February 26. Atlanta International will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Wesleyan (Norcross, GA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-5.
