Franklin Cougars (El Paso, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Andress for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 23. Franklin will face a Eagles squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Parkland (El Paso, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Parkland falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to San Elizario (San Elizario, TX) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 23. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 6-3. San Elizario lost 15-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Franklin (El Paso, TX)
