February 24, 2022: Irvine, CA 92612 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Capistrano Valley Cougars (Mission Viejo, CA) and the host University Trojans (Irvine, CA), saw Capistrano Valley's volleyball squad beat University by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Capistrano Valley upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Cougars host Tesoro (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 1. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
The Trojans now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host St. John Bosco for a non-league bout on Friday, February 25. University will play a Braves squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Jordan (Long Beach, CA). The Braves record now stands at 1-0.
