In Thursday's non-league contest, the Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Cactus Cobras (Glendale, AZ), by a margin of 12-1.

With the triumph, Mountain Pointe moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Pride travel to Holbrook (Holbrook, AZ) to play the Roadrunners in a non-league contest on Friday, February 25. The Roadrunners come into the contest with a record of 1-0. Holbrook 6-6 in their recent non-league contest against Westwood (Mesa, AZ)

In their next game, the Cobras play the Holbrook Roadrunners (Holbrook, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 24. Cactus will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.

Game Summary

Going into the Contest Cactus was feeling good about its Chances going against the Pride. The Cobras Fell to the Pride 12-1. The Cobras Return 2 starters from last year's 2021 roster. They were one short on this day. The one we had was Tanya Windle and she had a great individual performance. She Struck out 15 members of the Pride roster. She was 1-2 with a Double. The Cobras Lone run came in the First inning. Sr. Taylor Rigazio Singled in the Infield. Stole 2nd. was moved to 3rd by Brooke Mcanerny and scored on a fielder choice by Jacqueline Carpenter. The Cobras kept fighting and that's a great sign to come. They will face Holbrook Roadrunners in its next contest.
