Lamar Texans (Houston, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX), 14-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Texans now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to College Park for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 25. Lamar will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 9-2 non-league win over Pasadena Memorial (Pasadena, TX). The Cavaliers record now stands at 7-0.
