Idalou Wildcats (Idalou, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Levelland for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 1. Idalou will face a Lobos squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to El Dorado (El Paso, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Estacado falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Snyder (Snyder, TX) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 25. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Snyder lost 22-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Odessa (Odessa, TX)
