February 24, 2023: Thomaston, GA 30286 The crowd at Friday's non-league test between the Shaw Raiders (Columbus, GA) and the host Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA), saw Shaw's soccer squad knock off Upson-Lee by a count of 3-0.
The Raiders now hold a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Hardaway for a 4A Region 1 test on Tuesday, February 28. Shaw will meet a Hawks squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Cairo (Cairo, GA). The Hawks record now stands at 3-3.
With the loss, Upson-Lee drops to 3-4 on the season. The Knights host Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA) to meet the Bulldogs in a 3A Region 2 test on Tuesday, February 28. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 4-3. Mary Persons lost 10-6 in their recent league test against Jackson (Jackson, GA)
