The Gholson softball team scored 43 runs and limited the host Meridian Yellowjackets to 36 in the non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Gholson improves its record to 1-2 on the year. The travel to Riesel (Riesel, TX) to clash with the Indians in a non-league game on Saturday, February 25. The Indians come into the game with a record of 2-1.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Itasca Wampus Cats (Itasca, TX) in a 2A Region II District 12 game, on Wednesday, March 1. Meridian will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
